Starter

The Starter is our internal document filled in by everyone with an idea for business who is looking for an investor. It consists of several key areas answering the questions interesting for the investors. Based on the stage of the project, it may contain just a description of a business idea or plan all the way to projects with detailed business plans. The Starters are available for investors online on our platform and they are looking for an investment into the project.

Why become a member of our platform:

After the initial consultation, we will develop your investment profile and decide together what start-up projects are of interest to you and in what style you want to invest.

The start-up investment is based on speed and quality. That is why you can get to know every project looking for an investor even before its publication on our website.

You will have all documents the project author has uploaded available in the investor section. Mostly, these are the key documents such as business plan, marketing plan, proof of concept and all key documents needed for a start-up investment.

We will help you check the projects you are interested in investing into and we will help you develop the due diligence necessary as well.

If the selected start-up project needs help in some area, we are available for individual consultation.

Business is primarily about personal contact. That is why we organize meetings where you can meet the business ideas authors in person.

We will help you with the whole investment process as part of our StartUpServis service. We will prepare contract documents, term sheet and set up the project’s key indicators monitoring after the investment.

We like long-term cooperation. We offer a 10% discount from success fee in case of entering into the project for our investors.

Each business plan is original and this makes the portfolio of projects looking for an investor through us diverse. The projects can be divided by their focus or the scope of the market they target potentially. There can be both global IT start-ups among our projects, as well as regional craft businesses, for example. The investment really depends on the investor’s preference and interest.
The form of entering in a project will differ based on the needs of the project and the investor. Most often, it is an investment entry in the form of private equity, when an angel investor or fund gets a share in the newly established company.
We want to be as helpful as we can in the investment process. We are able to provide mentoring for the investor in the area of preparation of a right process of establishing a company for the project, and defining the terms in the term-sheet. At the same time, we are able to provide service for your new start-up, such as consultation on strategies, or create a marketing plan and others.
Investing into start-ups cannot be usually guaranteed in any way. The investor’s financial entry in a project brings along certain risk, but it is an opportunity for significant appreciation of the investment at the same time.
The number of projects keeps growing but we focus mostly on improving their quality; these should be start-ups ready for investment, first of all. That is why we go to expert conferences and lectures, to meet the authors of the business ideas.
Finding a suitable start-up investment can take a few days or a few months. It depends primarily on the type of investor and how much risk they are willing to take. There are projects that are still in the idea stage and need to have the proof of concept verified, but we also have some that are already working companies with a real and tested business plan and well established on the market. Basically, it depends on the possibilities and preferences of each investor.
Your first contact with the project usually takes place on the StartUpStart platform. The Starter, which is filled in by each project, will give you the answers to the main questions that the investors are interested in. In case of interest in further discussion, we will accompany you to a personal meeting, to be able to manage the negotiation and help both parties with the subsequent steps.
Projects in all stages, from a business idea to working business companies, are looking for investors through our platform. This makes it possible for us to find suitable projects for most investors.
If an investment is carried out successfully, the investor will pay a commission of 3-10% from the overall amount invested. We are doing our best to burden the project authors as little as possible so they do not pay any commission. We will be happy to send you a detailed overview of a tentative plan by e-mail.
